{our cabin getaway}

Casey and I have been awaiting this week for a veeeeery long time! Not only was it Christmas week, but it was time for our cabin that we rented. The mountains in Sevierville were covered in snow and it was gorgeous! We had to get chains to put on the tires to even make it up there! I got to open all my Christmas gifts while I was up there (Casey's new stereo system in his car was his gift)! I got business cards, a new camera case, the New Moon board game, and Grand Ole Opry Tickets! Thanks baby, I love you! <3

{my granny}

My sweet great-grandmother, Violet Carson, went to be with Jesus on December 13, 2009. A little over a month after having a massive stroke, she just could not go back to the way that she was. She was never fully herself, but she is now :) What a great Christmas she is having in heaven. Now she is healed with no more pain.

Many people don't know the story of my great-granny, but she took in my mom and her 4 siblings when they were young. She became their mother, raising them like her own. Therefore she was more like my granny, the only granny I ever knew.

Her technical name truly does fit the person that she was = a GREAT Grandmother :) I love you granny...

{the blind side}

This movie was greater than ANY movie I have seen recently (yes, even better than New Moon). I can't say enough good things about this movie... maybe it's because I am a sucker for the under-dog, but I can't help it. It is based on a true story and it really teaches a lesson on GIVING to others, feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, etc...
Everything that we should do for others this movie teaches.
2 THUMBS UP!

{our land}

Welp, it's kinda/almost official...Casey and I have a plot of land and it is now cleared! Maybe this time next year I will be updating my blog sitting in my new office. I am so thankful for my step-dad Scott,I love him so so so much! :)

{WOW}

Where does the time go? One minute it's Halloween, the next thing I know it's December 1st! Time is flying by, so let me catch everyone up...

A lot has been going on in the Mccluen/Peddicord household here lately. I am sorry to say not all of it is good news. Not only did Kristin's granny have a massive stroke, but her mom was in a car wreck a week later. :( Teresa is recovering, we are lucky that it was not a lot worse. But her granny is not doing very well. I just need anyone that reads this to please pray for our family. The saying is true, "When it rains, it poors!"

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE - We just had Thankgiving! :) Though things are hard right now, we all have things to be thankful for. We should never forget how blessed we truly are...

Casey was scary with the carver...

Deb made allll the food and it was sooo good!

{life is happening}

I am sorry for those of you (if any) people who follow our blog. We have been SO SO busy. Kristin has changed locations of work. She is now working in the Kingston branch. and Casey is wrapping up his last week in the Knoxville book which can get a little hectic! There have been a lot of things happening around the Peddicord household; our land will soon be cleared for building, jobs are hectic, Casey's closest friend from high school Matt Keys passed away, Kristin's grandmother had a massive stroke, Kristin had her first session doing photography, and much much more! So please be patient, we try to keep everyone up to date but like we said - life is happening...and fast!

{halloween}

This Halloween was a lot of fun! First, we started with Emma's 2nd Birthday at the Oak Ridge Children's Museum(she is getting all grown up!), that was a lot of fun. Then Halloween night was one of the greatest UT games this season! Not only did we win, but for the first time since 1920, we wore black jersey's! It was so awesome! We were so excited that we were there to witness it. So happy birthday to Emma Grace, and to UT Football: Wear those jersey's more!
PS - Kristin was an orange 'thing' and Casey was a blind SEC official :)
